Walk for Life West Coast 2013

On Saturday, January 26, I went to San Francisco for the Walk for Life West Coast. I don't understand how someone could kill a helpless little baby while they are still in their mother's womb, but for some reason too many people think that it's ok. I still have hope, however, because about half a million people marched in Washington DC on friday, and about 50,000 walked through San Francisco on saturday. Even though that many people are speaking out, the media still ignores it. If we keep trying though, I think that eventually they will have to listen to us! "For with God, nothing shall be impossible." I am so grateful that I had the opportunity to do something for the innocent little babies, who are helpless without us. Let us give them a voice!

LIFE, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness..

Be their voice..

They can't ignore us forever..

If God is with us, then who can stand against us?

"How can there be too many children? That is like saying there are too many flowers." -Mother Teresa

Choose LIFE...your mom did.

Life is beautiful..

We did it for the babies..

"This day I call the heavens and the earth as witnesses against you that I have set before you life and death, blessings and curses. Now CHOOSE LIFE, so that you and your children may live and that you may love the Lord your God, listen to His voice, and hold fast to him. For the Lord is your life, and He will give you many years in the land He swore to give your fathers, Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob." -Deuteronomy 30: 19-20

School Days...

So this morning while I was getting the boys ready for school, I decided to take some pictures of them. They were in such a happy mood. Their big smiles are so contagious! They were pretty tired, but they were still smiling away. They definitely think it is their job to make everyone around them happy. One of my favorite parts of each day is when they come home from school. Every day, I ask them if they had fun at school and they shout, "YES!" Then i ask them what they did at school, and every day, without fail, they reply, "BUS!" It makes me laugh every single time! These boys are the sweetest! I love my job!

My Mom and Me

The other day, my mom and I went to lunch together and spent the day together. We went to In'N'Out Burger, Costco, and Best Buy and we had a great time. I started to think that maybe I don't always appreciate her as much as I should. Moms do so much for us and most of the time, they get nothing in return. They really are the perfect example of both LOVE and SACRIFICE. I only hope that one day, I will be as wonderful a mother as my mom is! I love you, Mom!

Zuma Beach!

In the summer, we went on a trip to Knott's Berry Farm. On the way back, we stopped at Zuma Beach for a little while. It was one of the best times I've ever had with my mom. It was just the two of us spending quality time together! I'm glad that I will always be able to have that memory with her! Don't ever take your mom for granted! Moms are the best!

First Day...

Today is my first day taking care of the boys without Margaret. Today is going to be a wild and crazy adventure, but I am very excited to be embarking on this journey. Chance and Jonathon are very cute and sweet, but I am still going to have to discipline them. This is going to be the closest thing to parenting besides, well...parenting. I think that they are going to brighten my life while I'm with them, and I am really looking forward to spending more time with them. Wish me luck on my first day on my own!

Hats. :)

Silly Boys. :p

All smiles. :)

So far this morning has been great. The boys slept in, they ate their breakfast all up, and they are playing nicely together in the toy room. All small successes that I am very proud of. :) Here's to a great rest of the day!

Happy 2013!

I will now be taking a semester off of school to work. I will miss all my wonderful friends at Franciscan, but I think that this will be a good life experience for me. I am going to be working in Bakersfield as a nanny to 3 year old twin boys. Chance and Johnathon are so sweet and so adorable. I am really looking forward to being their nanny. Also, this year I hope that be better at blogging. One of my New Year's Resolutions I guess you could say. I hope that God blesses us all with a wonderful New Year. Happy 2013. :)

These Boys are way too cute!

P.J. Funnybunny

When I was little, my favorite book was "It's Not Easy Being a Bunny" by Marilyn Sadler and illustrated by Roger Bollen. Because I loved this book so much, my favorite food is cooked carrots. For those of you who have read this book (most likely not really anyone besides my family), you may understand the cooked carrots reference. However, for the sake of those who do not know what I'm talking about, let me explain.

P.J. Funnybunny was a sad bunny who didn't want to be a bunny. His mother made him eat cooked carrots every day, he had too many brothers and sisters, and his ears were huge! So P.J. decides to leave home because he doesn't want to be a bunny anymore. He tries to live with a bunch of different animals, but it doesn't work out, so in the end....he doesn't want to be a bear, a bird, a beaver, a pig, a moose, a possum, or a skunk. He just wants to be a bunny. :) He returns home and eats all of his cooked carrots, played with all of his brothers and sisters, and enjoyed being a bunny.

When I came home this summer from Franciscan University, I had read many many books, but when I saw my old favorite, I had to read it. I'm so glad I did. Even though it may seem silly and childish, this book really has a good message. There is no need to be someone you're not. Just be who you were born to be! God has a special plan for each and every person! No matter who you are, God has a plan for you. Don't spend your life trying to be someone else. Just be you!

Now i remember why I love this book so much! Thanks P.J.! You're an inspiration! :)
